LB Cook
LB has an entrepreneurial spirit inspired by helping others and genuine human connection. Professionally, LB most recently worked for the disaster recovery nonprofit All Hands and Hearts (AHAH). LB filled a variety of roles during the past two years of service due to an unconditional spirit of helping when possible and taking chances to take on new projects and responsibilities. No stranger to long hours and endless responsibilities, LB has aspired to run a nonprofit for several years now. Spearheading a project through Bejuco offers the newest challenge: a chance for LB to rise to the occasion of commitment and skill sharing in a new working terrain.
LB is passionate about empowering others, finding sustainable resources and working alongside communities to connect them to new opportunities. LB brings unmet ambition, creativity, and love to every aspect of life.

Emily Alfred
Emily is an inspirational human whose calming demeanor cuts through all the chaos that she may find as she continues to live her life in a non-traditional and impactful way. She constantly strives to know, understand, and holistically experience her ever-changing surroundings and to leave them better than she found them. Professionally, Emily has most recently worked for the disaster relief nonprofit; All Hands and Hearts in Puerto Rico and Texas.
Living life as a traveler, the nagging ideal of a socially acceptable adulthood has crept into her mind over and over, but her time in post-Maria, Puerto Rico provided a different perspective and vision of what a successful life could be. On the horizon she sees a life filled with love for all living things, advocacy in the face of injustice, a lot of hard work, a beautiful view, and the ocean not too far away.
