About Us

Bejuco is a federally approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a CECFL-certified organization dedicated to strengthening community ecosystems by connecting resources, initiatives, and people. Since 2019, Bejuco has provided critical support where it’s needed most—whether through scholarships, coordination, or full-scale project management.With a focus on education, the arts, environmental sustainability, and community resilience, Bejuco has impacted over 3,000 individuals through programs ranging from classroom rehabilitation to artist residencies. Since its inception, Bejuco has maintained strong partnerships with public schools, providing art classes, STEAM workshops, and mentorship opportunities for students of all backgrounds.Bejuco is also committed to environmental stewardship, integrating sustainability into its projects by promoting green infrastructure, eco-conscious art practices, and community-led conservation efforts.Our flagship initiative, the Tu-ARTE program, expands artistic and cultural access in Puerto Rico through workshops, exhibitions, and a one-for-one class model that ensures accessibility for all. Beyond education, Bejuco has played a vital role in disaster relief efforts, providing aid to over 800 families in the aftermath of Hurricane Fiona.As a trusted nonprofit with a proven track record in community impact, Bejuco continues to empower communities, foster creativity, and build a more sustainable future for Puerto Rico.
